Googling things often? Supercharge your Google searches with these tips to make your searches more effective and efficient.

@twitter some word -> Search a particular social media by putting an @ sign in front of the search
jaguar -car -> Exclude a word from your search, in this case Google will search jaguar but exclude any that have car
“this exact term” -> Google will try and find this exact term instead of if it wasn’t in quotes it would search for content that contains those three words in any order
iphone OR android -> search for either of the two terms
site:nytimes.com lower east side -> Use google to search nytimes for the terms you specify
related:espn.com -> search for related sites to the site. In this case Google will find sites similar to espn.com
